| This 65' Steel Ketch is an Ex-Navy Sail Training Vessel. Launched in 1982 she was built by Cuncliffe Engineering and is a cutter-rigged ketch. It has a 5/16th steel hull (normally 1/4") and over-size scantlings making her a well-built vessel. In 1998 she was purchased by the Navy to be used as a Sail Training Vessel. She was then extensively refitted and the accommodation increased to 17 incl crew. Although not in current survey she was until recently approved for 1B 17 Pax plus crew ands 1D 40 Passengers Plus Crew. IB is 200 nautical miles seaward and 1D is partially smooth waters. She has four cabins and a workshop -watch the video. Her Pilot House carries an extensive array of electronics incl radar. The galley incl fridges and a freezer and she is equipped with a washing machine and washing area.
She has two separate showers and two separate toilets. There are 3 gensets, an air compressor, shaft brake and a CO2 fire suppression system. The sails are in very good condition. |
